  15. I don't know how I didn't find this site 6 months ago. I was teaching myself guitar off a great site called justinguitar.com but really was interested in bass and not so into guitar. Did the google search and came up with a bunch of lame stuff. Been taking lessons for 3 months now and have advanced faster with this site in a week than before I found it. Nuff respect! Will donate soon as I'm not skint.

    Cheers!

  28. Thank you for the excellent job you do of teaching bass! And the fact that you've made music theory make sense to me is a miracle - i've bought books and attended lessons on this dry but extremely important subject without gaining much at all, but your single (free) video lesson on this finally opened it all up for me. You made 'theory' make practical sense. Thank you! If this is what you teach for free, I'm definitely buying your premium lessons. You're the best!

  41. I'm 16 years old, and I got my bass 6 months ago.. I was pretty happy with it for a month or so till I got bored with it... For the Christmas Holidays I was bored so I picked up my bass and started to watch youtube video lessons... I opened a few tabs and I was bored as hell of all the proffesional players who teach way too fast for me ( or anyone to understand) and the last tab was your video luckily... Your teaching is easy to understand and you're a pretty nice guy yourself... :D You have made the bass guitar interesting for me once again, I am now practicing 2-4 hours per day, and know over 20 songs, from beginning to the end :D. Thank you Dman

  46. I've been teaching for over twenty years now, and playing in a well known jazz band for over thirty. My son recommended I tried to teach online, so I had a look at what other teachers had to offer. Time and time again i've run into videos and sites that are lacking in communication and knowledge. However "Dman" has something here that should not be missed. I've never seen anyone teach in such a way. I will be pushing my students towards this site, because to be honest it is a breath of fresh air. God bless - JE.

  63. Just dropping by to say how amazing the lessons are, ive taken around 1 every 2 days, and doing my best to master the techniques shown by his videos, and I keep on practicing each day from the basics to the more intermediate stuff, until I understood how to mix it up and start learning my own techniques, and I still come back to learn more and to review certain lessons, and I have been playing for a good year and a half.

i got to say, his lessons saved me from stopping, now i got myself a gig, and learned plenty of my own techniques using the techniques given by his lessons.

For those who want to learn and get better, just keep on practicing each day everything you learned from the lessons, and in time you will see yourself saying “just a month ago I had trouble doing this, now I can do it as if it were second nature”

keep up the amazing work D-man, if I can learn from your lessons anyone can.

  83. I've searched the internet up and down for lessons. I paid over 100 dollars for DVD's that were confusing and badly made. THESE lessons by THIS man are by far the best you will get on the net today. Trust me-I know!

(Posted on 2009-07-21 22:14:00 by Lefthandedlinemaker)
  84. dude you are badass. i've just been watching your videos on youtube and they've convinced me to give bass a shot. there are so many tutorial videos by random american country folk in their 60s who are no doubt good at what they do, but i find the lessons are far more effective when the teachers is on the same level as the student, that's what makes you stand out and that's why i'm coming back here as soon as my bass arrives!

(Posted on 2009-07-17 12:59:00 by John)
  85. Spent about two hours replaying your vids lastnight and it was f*#ckin awsome...home from work now and the first thing I do is start watching and playing gain. You've got a gift with this teaching business cuzzy...keep it up and i'll never stop watching and learning.Cheers!

  96. Kris, you have single handedly taught my class how to play bass guitar. If that isn't enough to make you proud, then also know that a lot of teenagers think you're a "cool" guy! Thankyou, and thankyou again. James Ederton.
